The Tech Tour 2017 European Venture Contest Final (EVC Final) is taking place once again in Düsseldorf on the 11-12 of December 2017 for its 11th edition. A total value of over EUR 450,000,000 in deals was done in the last 6 years involving the Contest’s past presenting companies.

 

The EVC Final is Tech Tour’s (formerly Europe Unlimited) annual flagship event for emerging companies. Tech Tour has more than 20-years of experience in organising networking events, the main goal of which is to bring technology entrepreneurs and investors together to help innovators realise their full journey of innovation, from the initial concept all the way through to valuation.

 

The European Venture Contest is a series of regional and vertically focused Venture Forums where 1250+ companies from 36 countries apply, 120+ are selected to present and then the attending investors pick the top quartile. These 20+ Venture Forums and e-pitches culminate in the EVC Final. The selected companies are typically looking for series A funding. The European Venture Contest selects the most promising innovative companies for the Top 120 in life sciences, ICT, cleantech and food tech.

 

The EVC Final 2017 will be organised around the theme of “Scaling up investment and growth” and includes:

  • Presentations sessions by the top 120+ companies selected as finalists through regional European Venture Forums
  • Over 400 people attending of which 120+ are Europe’s most active venture capital and corporate investors
  • Presentation sessions, One2One meetings, panel discussion sessions, investor-only roundtable, and CEO venture academy and master classes
  • Exhibitor tables for entrepreneurs attending to present their projects and achievements
  • Keynote speech by Thomas Geisel (City of Dusseldorf)
  • Keynote speech by Peter Güllmann (NRW Bank)
  • Networking dinner to honour entrepreneurs with sector focused tables to allow for more targeted networking
  • EVC Final Award Ceremony to name Europe’s best high growth potential technology companies
