From them, around 750 take part in the said programmes to meet with investors and peers and grow to reach their bold ambition. From the 750 Selection committees of active investors in each sector picked the best 250 and Tech Tour challenged them to take part in Future21 – the gathering of tech companies, investors, corporations and professionals and a must for every tech entrepreneur. The online event took place on 24 - 26 March and 165 companies rose to the challenge. Out of those 165 emerged the top 40 that we are presenting to you now - the best of the best, the top 40 emerging (seed and Series A) companies that should be on your radar. Avecom is specialized in R&D of added value products and processes based on a strong microbial, environmental and chemical expertise. BeFC offers eco-friendly paper-based biofuel cells for sustainable and practical energy generation. They believe their approach will allow the replacement of batteries for existing applications. BioMimetx focuses on the development of green antifouling solutions to prevent marine biofouling. They discovered and own environmental bacteria that secrete high levels of molecules. Bloom Biorenewables provides a novel, cost-competitive route to source molecules from plants. This is an alternative for many petroleum-based products. GEOLITH produces sustainable lithium in France and Europe aiming at being leading actor of the Energy Transition. Hargol FoodTech is the world’s first commercial Grasshopper farm. They deliver alternative protein, that is healthier, sustainable and affordable. Ionomr is commercializing a line of revolutionary ion-exchange materials that bring the first non-fluorinated, environmental alternative to market. Mootral develops innovative solutions for companies and governments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the agricultural sector. Kaia Health creates evidence-based treatments for a range of disorders including musculoskeletal conditions and COPD. They use artificial intelligence and computer vision. NexWafe is producing a high-efficient and low-carbon silicon wafers to bring the Energy Transition closer to fruition. Novamera is developing a technology process called Sustainable Mining by Drilling to recover from steeply dipping, narrow vein deposits that are considered uneconomic. SDM could also extend existing mines beyond their current engineering limits. Plotwise enables companies to plan the distribution of goods in the most efficient way possible. They do this for customers in the pick-up and delivery sector in the Benelux. Soapy created the CleanMachine. It ensures a thorough wash cycle scanning the hand movements and providing immediate feedback on the wash cycle’s quality. Resqunit aims to reduce the global impact of lost fishing gear by inventing affordable and easy-to-use products for securing fishing gear.
